Lost but not forgotten

Lost but not forgotten

Luke 15:17-24 (CJB)
“At last he came to his senses and said, ‘Any number of my father’s hired workers have food to spare; and here I am, starving to death! I’m going to get up and go back to my father and say to him, “Father, I have sinned against Heaven and against you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son; treat me like one of your hired workers.” ’ So he got up and started back to his father.

“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was moved with pity. He ran and threw his arms around him and kissed him warmly.

His son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against Heaven and against you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son — ’ but his father said to his slaves, ‘Quick, bring out a robe, the best one, and put it on him; and put a ring on his finger and shoes on his feet; and bring the calf that has been fattened up, and kill it.

Let’s eat and have a celebration! For this son of mine was dead, but now he’s alive again! He was lost, but now he has been found!’ And they began celebrating.

For so many of us this scripture is so true, we were lost but now we are found. Sometimes we will choose the flesh our sinful nature because sometimes we are weak or we don’t want to hurt someone so we choose to sin.

Sometimes we go so far down a road that we think that there is no way that YHWH [God] will or can ever take me back. That is wrong thinking and that is the devil playing with your mind.

Let me tell you, you are never too far gone for YHWH [God] to take you back. All it takes is just one step. One turn and you are back in the arms of your loving Father.

All you need to do is take that step, confess, repent and surrender it all unto Him and see what happens. It will be such a joyous moment, filled with tears of joy, love, grace, mercy and forgiveness.

Don’t let the devil steal your joy, go back home to your loving Father, He is waiting for you.

May the grace and favor of YHWH be with you.

Blessings and Shalom
